PadiKal focuses on holistic child care. Our teachers and caretakers are a team of deeply passionate and hardworking women who strive to give their best to make our babies 'first schooling experience' rich and happy. Apart from Montessori teacher training, they have undergone rigorous training under specialist doctors in child development, child psychology and first aid which is a great asset for them beyond regular teacher's training.
For, at PadiKal we believe that everything starts from understanding the 'Science of Childhood'.
Teachers at PadiKal undergo intensive training under the guidance of doctors to handle untoward emergencies. The person handling the first 10 mins of any emergency often makes the difference between life and death for the victim
Teachers being trained to handle common emergencies such as choking, insect bites, injuries, sudden attack of wheezing, heat stroke, seizures, nose bleeds etc.
Teachers attend lectures on Child Psychology and development by specialist doctors on a regular basis.
Demonstration for caretakers by the Pediatrician on the right way to change a diaper to avoid urinary tract infections.
Our teachers took up the American Heart Association's Heartsaver CPR AED course and successfully completed it with certification.

Dr. T. Vidhya MD
Dr. T. Vidhya is a Pediatrician from Chennai. She has been closely working with children for over 8 years and is a proud mother of two. She has authored and published children's books and is the founder of the 'Stepping Stone children's club' which is a free online club, where kids learn science and history through stories. She firmly believes that holistic 'Early childhood education' can be best achieved only with an in-depth knowledge in child development and child psychology, which as a Pediatrician she has full authority over. She is confident that her training and experience as a pediatrician can bring in a special touch to the school.

Dr. Shilpa Srinivasan MD
Dr.Shilpa is a Psychiatrist and a devout mother to two little angels. Right from her under graduation days she has been passionate about working with children and her post graduation training at CMC, Vellore fueled it further.
She says, " When my dearest friend Vidhya pitched the idea of PadiKal to me, I jumped at it. Nothing makes me happier than making a change in a child's life. I am thrilled to assume a dual role as a teacher and school counselor."
She strongly believes in the importance of establishing a wonderful Teacher-Parent relationship/partnership through effective Teacher-Parent communication as she thinks it is highly imperative in enhancing the child's education and overall development.
Ms. Sunantha S
Ms. Sunantha is a child development specialist, who also holds a Bacherlors degree in Visual Communication from Madras University. She enjoys working with children and finds them wonderful and inspiring. She loves the fact that her work at PadiKal allows her to support their growth and nurture their love of learning.
She says, "There is not a day that passes which does not include hugs, cute stories, and a million smiles! As a teacher, I believe we help in building a strong foundation for each child that not only positively supports their education but also ensures personal growth throughout their life. Mrs. Preethi Sujit
Mrs. Preethi likes to describe herself as the mother of two children and the wife of a Naval Officer. She has always loved to teach and in her pursuit to excel in teaching, she has completed her Advanced Diploma in Montessori teacher training.
She is a graduate in Apparel and Fashion technology and holds a PG Diploma in Business Administration as well.
Mrs. Preethi says, "I thoroughly enjoy working with the children. Being a sincere person, with a calm and composed personality, I know that with patience and perseverance, nothing is impossible. It not only helps me understand each child and deliver them their needs, it also allows me to learn many things from them."
